Her veterinary journey began in Emergency Medicine, where she spent the first eight years of her career developing sharp clinical skills in high-pressure situations. It was during this time that she recognized her natural affinity for working with cats—a species often misunderstood in veterinary medicine. This calling led her to dedicate her career exclusively to feline medicine in 2017.

In pursuit of excellence, Dr. Love and her husband (along with their four beloved cats) spent three years on the East Coast, where she focused on achieving board certification through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. She successfully earned her Diplomate status in November 2024—an elite distinction held by fewer than 110 feline specialists worldwide.

Now based in Las Vegas, Dr. Love is passionate about providing specialty-level care in a calm, cat-only environment. She believes that every cat deserves to be treated like royalty when receiving veterinary care, and she’s opened Las Vegas Cat Hospital as a commitment to making that a reality for her patients.

Her professional interests include abdominal ultrasound, feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) diagnosis and treatment, and surgery. She welcomes emergency procedures, such as urethral obstructions, with the same enthusiasm and precision that marked her years in emergency practice.

Originally trained in Scotland, Dr. Love is also an avid traveler who enjoys exploring new cultures. When she’s not caring for her feline patients, you can find her reading, cheering on the Vegas Golden Knights, or managing her fantasy football team every Sunday in the fall.
